Civic officials said the move is aimed at ensuring proper monitoring of welfare and health schemes. Officials said that besides civic hospitals, primary healthcare centres run by the state government will also issue Aadhaar-linked birth certificates.
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation health chief Dr Anil Roy said they have not yet received the government directives, but would implement it as soon they receive them.
