Protesting MNS workers held,released on bail

As many as 41 Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers were arrested by the Shivajinagar police for protesting against Reshma Bhosle’s alleged involvement in a forgery case.

As many as 41 Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers were arrested by the Shivajinagar police for protesting against corporator Reshma Bhosle’s alleged involvement in a forgery case. They were later granted bail by Judicial Magisterial (First Class) on Monday. MNS leaders Samadhan Shinde,Bala Shedge,Ravindra Dhangekar,Kishore Shinde and 37 others were arrested by Shivajinagar police on Monday afternoon for protesting and shouting slogans against Reshma Bhosale and Anil Bhosale demanding their arrest.

“As many as 41 people were arrested under IPC Sections 341,141,143,145,146,147 and 149 and Mumbai Police Act Sections 37 (3) and 135 for defying prohibitory orders issued by the Pune Police commissioner by unlawfully gathering at the Simla Office chowk,” said

M P Sartape of Shivajinagar Police. Advocate Vijaysinh Thombre appeared for the accused.
