NGO to organise tours to N-E states

In a bid to create more awareness about the tourism potential of border states,Sarhad will organise tours of different communities and professional groups from Maharashtra to North Eastern states.

In a bid to create more awareness about the tourism potential of border states,Sarhad will organise tours of different communities and professional groups from Maharashtra to North Eastern states.

Announcing this at a press conference here,Sarhad founder president Sanjay Nahar,said the tours would begin next month. On February 11 a group of senior citizens will visit the North-East on a ten-day tour which will be followed by other groups including officers and media proffessionals.

“The border states of the country in the North-East and Jammu and Kashmir are facing isolation. These are beautiful areas and are bestowed with great natural resources,” he said,adding that the tours will help the people of the North-East integrate with the people from the rest of the country. Sarhad is working towards fostering ties with the neighobouring countries and will also organise the tours to these countries,he said. The countries which are in the itenarary of Sarhad are Afghanistan,Bangladesh,Sri Lanka and Myanmar.
