Eighteen-year-old Tejaswini Chavda,a student of Symbiosis College,is an unapologetic foodie,and loves to explore all kinds of cuisines,anywhere and everywhere. Naturally,her memorable trysts with food are many. Here she shares a few of them
Food is something I can never resist,whatever the situation might be. I am a huge Italian cuisine lover. Pesto-Pesto in Koregaon Park has the best Italian food ever. From pizza to pasta to lasagna,everything there is so delicious. Though I like my food to be hot and spicy,I enjoy this cuisine a lot. My favourites are many,but I would rate the pizzas at La Pizzeria,the Schezwan Fried Rice at Invitation restaurant,and the sizzlers from Yana as the top contenders. I am completely non-fussy eater,and love to try and appreciate every type of food. But obviously I have had moments when I have disliked the food served,and the place I ate at. I am very fond of Chinese food,but the noodles and Manchurian at Chinese Room at Karve road is something I will never recommend to anybody. The place is unhygienic and the food is not cooked well enough.
I respect the hard work and creativity of chefs. I think food is one thing that makes everyone happy at some point in their lives,no matter what the mood of the person is. After an amazing meal,all one needs is a good desert,and the Chocolate Avalanche at Mocha is the best thing I have ever had. With its oodles of ice-cream and chocolate sauce,it makes me feel that this world is a happy place. Eating food is one thing and actually enjoying the meal is another. There are very few people who are not afraid to eat anything and everything. We have just one life. Eat heartily,don’t worry about weight gain much and be a true foodie-soul.
