Gourmet Sundays
Stone Water Grill brings to Pune leisurely Sunday evenings spent with friends amidst the spectacular view of the setting sun on the banks of the river. Here’s a chance to soak in the myriad hues of the sunset,in the best way possible, wrapped in the tranquility of the ever transforming sky accompanied by mystical sounds and luscious greenery. The charm of Sunday Sunsets at Stone Water Grill lies in its aura, which is all about the simple pleasures of life: The river, twilight and snacky cuisine inspired by dusk. This Sunday the joint will feature DJ Clement, who has played for a wide variety of events, ranging from launch of clubs, bars, lounges and launch parties to large-scale commercial events all over the Indian sub continent and internationally. He’s even won the DMC Championship Awards (South Zone-India) for three consecutive years (1998 – 2000) and War of The DJs (South Zone-India 2001).

Seaside view
For seafood lovers, here’s some welcome news. Southern Spice on Dhole Patil Road has spruced up its menu and included a range of dishes from the verdant coast of the Malabar. From standalone dishes to the thali menu, everything here is now tinged with the aromas and flavours of the Malabar. “We’ve recently added a lot of Malabari dishes and preparations to the menu at Southen Spice. Apart from Fish Malabari,Mutton Malabari and Crab Malabari, there’s also non-veg and veg thali which have an all-new menu,” said Varghese Manaadan, proprietor of the restaurant. The thali menu consists of crab thali, fish thali, chicken thali and mutton thali, apart from the evergreen veg thali. And if you thought thali could only be an assortment of dishes, the spread here will change that perception.

Charity begins here
The Northern Frontier,a restaurant specialising in north Indian and Kashmiri cuisine,is playing host to a charity dinner for the benefit of the Bhatkya Vimukta Jati Shikshan Sanstha (BVJSS),an orphanage based in Wagholi. The dinner will be a regular event hosted at The Northern Frontier on the first Monday of every month for the next six months. The first dinner was hosted on February 02. All the proceeds of that dinner shall be given directly to the orphanage. Representatives of the orphanage would also be present at the dinner.
