Bollywood,hip hop and bhangra will come together with commercial,house and microphonic mayhem as Black Sensation celebrates it’s first anniversary on April 13 at Scream,Le Meridian,9pm onwards. The event will feature DJ Vaggy,DJ Stash,DJ RT and DJ Athar and DJ Nikhil dishing out tracks to set the crowd grooving. MC Ketan Dossa will entertain guests with his microphonic antics. There will also

be a dance performance by the

city-based Step Up Studio.

Woman of Substance

Pune-based Kashmira Antia was recently crowned Mrs Asia International Classic 2013 at a pageant held in Chennai. After working for nine years in the healthcare industry,the 46-year-old quit her job to join a Tiara beauty pageant training studio on the advise of a friend. “I joined the training studio one-and-a-half-years ago. My husband is very supportive and even my children are thrilled that I have won the title,” says Antia,who qualified as a finalist in Gladrags Mrs India 2009. “When I had participated in the Gladrags contest,it was a one-off thing. But since then,I have been on a roll with beauty pageants. A lot of hard work is required and I do my best,” she says.

Rock Hard

Beat the soaring heat with head-banging music this weekend as Marathi rock band Moksh takes the stage at Inorbit mall. Popular for their “raag metal”,the five-member band came together in 2009 and has,ever since,featured on various TV and radio shows apart from performing live. Moksh is currently in the process of recording its first full-length Marathi rock album. The band will perform in the city on Saturday,7.30pm onwards.
