GEARING UP for the upcoming civic polls, state NCP chief Sunil Tatkare on Monday said that the ruling BJP in the state and Centre is blaming the opposition on various issues it cannot resolve just to hide own flaws.
“The BJP, despite being in power at state and Centre, has failed to deliver the promises made during elections. They have failed to fulfil the promises and in a bid to hide this, they have diverted the focus by putting the blame on the opposition over issues pertaining to the state,” said Tatkare. They are changing the municipal rules as per their convenience, he said, adding, “The decision to hold four ward electoral panel as against the existing two ward electoral panel was a political decision to get power in the local civic bodies.”
The state NCP chief said that his party has decided to highlight in civic polls the failure on part of the BJP at the state and Central level to deliver the promises made to people. “The party has decided to contest the civic body elections on its own symbol as against the trend in the past of forming a front that would contest on a different symbol,” he said.
