A 35-year-old contractual labourer was found murdered in Indrayaninagar area in Bhosari on Saturday. According to the police,the victim,Arvindkumar Parmeshwar Ram,was stabbed in the back,his ears were eaten by animals and his right leg bore animal bite marks.
Ram,who originally hailed from Aurangabad district in Bihar,was staying in Subhashnagar with some of his cousins,a police officer said. He worked as labourer at construction sites,the officer added.
Suhas Aspat,senior inspector of Bhosari police station said,Rams body bore a deep stab wound in the back. His two ears were eaten by animals while his right leg seemed to have been bitten by animals.
We are yet to identify a suspect in the case and the motive behind the crime. We have learnt that for the past one month,he had not got any work and was not home most of the time, Aspat added. His wife and two kids stay at his native village. We suspect this could be a fallout of past rivalry.
