Ice skating: Meshram,Singh,Chandan win

Aryan Meshram and Aroha Singh clinched the gold in the boys’ and girls’ under-7 category at the national level Ice Skating Championship which was conducted last week.

Aryan Meshram and Aroha Singh clinched the gold in the boys’ and girls’ under-7 category at the national level Ice Skating Championship which was conducted last week.

The championship was conducted at the Essel World Freeze ice skating track on Nagar road.

Meshram’s gold in the 300 meters was followed by Shreem Pasad and Rehan Siddiqui in second and third place respectively. In the girl’s section,Aroha Singh’s gold was followed by Swarali Karmarkar who won the silver.

Anish Kamath clinched the top prize in the under-9 boys category. Aryan Joshi and Vedansh Joshi won the silver and bronze medal respectively.

Oshna Dhanorkar was crowned the champion in the under-9 girl’s category. Ashel D’Silva of Karnataka and Niharika Rajebhosale came second and third.

In the long distance events,Meet Chandan secured first position in the under-14 category’s 500 meters race.

Siddharth Bhawsar and Ashwin D’Silva won the silver and bronze.

Meanwhile,in the girl’s category,Mahima Chandan was adjudged the winner while Nupur Verma came in at second position.

Suyog Tapkir won the gold in the above-14 boy’s event while Seeliya Simmith of Karnataka was the champion in the girls’ above-14 category.

In the under-9 figure skating event for girls,Ishita Bhagwat won the gold.

In the boys’ event,Abhijit Raj was adjudged the winner of the competition.

In the above-14 category,Aldrin Mathew won the gold in the girl’s category while Pranav Raj won first prize in the boy’s event.
