On the occasion of its golden jubilee,Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) hosted an International Conference in Nursing,emphasising on global nursing in the city. The event was inaugurated by Santwana Kundu,Deputy Directorate of Nursing,West Bengal; Uttamrao Bhoite,Executive Director of Bharti Vidyapeeth; Dr Sneha Pitre,Principal of BVDU CON,Pune; and Dr T Bhattacharjee,Vice Principal of BVDU CON. In his speech,Bhoite explained the real meaning of knowledge. “Knowledge which is taught today becomes absolute tomorrow,” he said,floating the idea that nurses should be given an insignia just like a professional doctor.

Maeer’s MIT School of Government,Pune,is organising the 5th National Level Felicitation Ceremony today to honour the accomplishments of youngsters who have cleared UPSC Civil Services Examination 2012. “The objective is to urge and encourage probationers to observe integrity in public life,” says Rahul V Karad,Executive Director,MIT Group of Institutions and Initiator,and Dean,MIT School of Government. The chief guest of the function will be N Gopalaswami,former Chief Election Commissioner of India. The function will be presided over by professor Dr Vishwanath D Karad,Founder and Executive President,World Peace Center,MAEER’s MIT,Pune. Cash award will be given to all-India rankers Haritha V Kumar from Cochin,Sriram V K from Ernakulam and Stuti Charan from Jaipur.
