Four held for call centre employee’s murder

Lonavala police on Thursday arrested four persons for allegedly killing a call centre employee Pratik Kulkarni (19), whose body was found at the foothills of Tikona Fort on January 28.

Lonavala police on Thursday arrested four persons for allegedly killing a call centre employee Pratik Kulkarni (19), whose body was found at the foothills of Tikona Fort on January 28. The accused allegedly killed him as they suspected his involvement in a murder case that took place in Kothrud in December last year.

Some residents had found an unidentified body with deep stab marks at the foothills of Tikona. Inspector Mohan Jadhav of Lonavala rural police said,“We identified the body based on some identification and a missing complaint. We have arrested four persons in the case. The prime suspect in the case Devendra Khaire is still at large.”

We found that one of Khaire’s cousins,Kalidas Temghire,was murdered in Kothrud on December 28. “Khaire along with his four accomplices conspired to murder Kulkarni suspecting his involvement in Temghire’s murder. Kothrud police are now investigating the case,” Jadhav added.
