A group of Kashmiri students are on a visit to the city as part of the tour ‘Watan Ki Sair’ organised by Indian Army as a goodwill gesture.

Kashmiri students on ‘Watan Ki Sair’

A group of Kashmiri students are on a visit to the city as part of the tour ‘Watan Ki Sair’ organised by Indian Army as a goodwill gesture. On the occasion of Holi,they participated in the celebration at Bombay Engineering Group Centre,Kirkee. The students have come from far flung areas of Rajwar (District Kupwara). Later in the day,they witnessed rich Rajasthani culture at Chokhi Dhani. The trip was facilitated by 21 Rashtriya Rifles (Guards). The students are spreading a message of Humanity and National Integration said a press release issued by the Press Information Bureau,MoD.

Holi celebrations at Lonavla IAF station

Indian Air Force (IAF) Station,Lonavla celebrated Holi with great enthusiasm. The entire station congregated to celebrate the festival with the junior and the senior office bearers participate in the festival with equal excitement. “Air Force Station,Lonavla broke all the taboos and dogmas to celebrate the ethereal beauty of Holi. The age old tradition was brought alive by the dance and music that added flavour to the purity of the colours,” said a press release by the IAF station,Lonavla.

Cervical cancer detection camp at Lohegaon IAF station

Cervical Cancer detection camp for sanginis was organised recently at Station Medicare Centre of IAF Station,Lohegaon under aegis of Air force Wives’ Welfare Association,Lohegaon (AFWWA- L). The camp was inaugurated by Neeta Chaudhari,president,AFWWA (L). As part of the programme,a presentation on risk factors,prevention and vaccination modalities of cervical cancer was organised. Over 300 sanginis participated in the camp.
