The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)-JAN 2012 will be held on January 29 at 1,269 centres in 82 cities across the country. In Pune,45 centres have been notified for the exam. A centre at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Amravati,Maharashtra notified as centre No. 45042 in Pune has been replaced by Sanskriti School at Lavale village. About 480 candidates will sit for the test at this centre. Revised admit cards can be downloaded from CBSEs website http://www.cbse.nic.in or http://www.ctet.nic.in. However,candidates will be allowed to appear for the examination at the new centre on the basis of their old admit cards.
Flame students organise cultural heritage show
Students of Foundation for Liberal And Management Education (FLAME) organised Discover India Programme and Discover Life Project,which are a part of FLAMEs undergraduate and postgraduate syllabus,at Max Mueller Bhavan. Students put on a show on topics like unseen views of coastal tirtha in changing times in Gokarna,Karnataka; Ganga on a wobbling pivot in Benaras,Uttar Pradesh; Goa in transition,folk art forms in Pinguli,Maharashtra and Toda and Kota tribes in Ootacamund.
Symbiosis celebrates annual law day
The Symbiosis Law School celebrated its annual law day. The chief guest for the occasion was former Attorney General of India and senior advocate of Supreme Court Parasaran. Sharing the dais was Ram Jethamalani,Professor Emeritus of the Law School. S B Mujumdar,Chancellor,SIU,Shashikala Gurpur,director,Symbiosis Law School and Prof Joshua Aston,deputy director were also present at the occasion.
Human rights seminar at AKK Law Academy
AKK New Law Academy,Pune,organised a UGC sponsored seminar on Life and Personal Liberty-Human Rights Perspective. Supreme Court judge Justice Deepak Verma was the chief guest. The seminar was presided over by PA Inamdar,member,national monitoring committee for minorities education,Government of India and president,Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society.
