Cops arrest 3,foil bid to rob petrol pump

Pune police Tuesday evening busted a gang suspected to have been preparing to rob a petrol pump on the Katraj-Kondhwa road.

Pune police Tuesday evening busted a gang suspected to have been preparing to rob a petrol pump on the Katraj-Kondhwa road. The police arrested three members of the gang and are searching for two other members. They arrested suspects were identified as Rajja Master Irani (49),Sadiq Rajja Irani (20) and Javed Ali Irani (25),all living near Mira railway station in Purandar.

A search has been launched for suspects Fayyaz Ansari of Madhya Pradesh and Jafar Irani of Shivajinagar in the case.

Around 8.30 pm on Tuesday,police teams arrested the three gang members near Prajapati temple on Katraj-Kondhwa road and seized sharp weapons,chilli powder and a map.

Police said investigation revealed that the gang was about to loot a petrol pump on the Katraj-Kondhwa Road. An offence was registered at the Kondhwa police station.
