Pune: Commemorating World Hepatitis Day

A ‘Liver Helpline’ has been set up and patients can get consultation and registration by dialling 020- 49153030.

Commemorating the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, which is observed on July 28 every year, Ruby Hall Clinic announced the launch of liver units at its hospitals in Hinjewadi and Wanowrie. With liver diseases rising in India, Ruby Hall Clinic had earlier set up a liver ICU unit at their main branch. A team of transplant specialists, intensivists, anaesthesiologists, interventional radiologists, nurses and support staff would cater to patients from diagnosis, evaluation for transplant, surgery, recovery and a return to normal activities, Dr. Sheetal Dhadphale-Mahajani, consultant liver transplant physician and in-charge of the Liver Transplant Department at Ruby Hall Clinic said.

Meanwhile, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre would conduct a liver disease awareness week till July 30 as part of the event. A ‘Liver Helpline’ has been set up and patients can get consultation and registration by dialling 020- 49153030.
