CM Devendra Fadnavis to unveil eye centre today at Poona Hospital

Machines like A scan, B scan, pachymetry, ultrasound biomicroscopy, perimetry and others have been set up.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the Mukundas Lohiya Eye Centre and OPD section at Poona Hospital on May 13.

Devichand Jain, Managing Trustee, and J Ravindranath, Director of the hospital, told mediaersons that the eyecare centre will be equipped with advanced yellow laser technology to cure the damaged retina of diabetic patients. The eye centre also has an advanced Yag laser machine for patients suffering from glaucoma and to clean the dust saturated behind the lens after cataract surgery. Machines like A scan, B scan, pachymetry, ultrasound biomicroscopy, perimetry and others have been set up. Guardian Minister Girish Bapat and others will also be present.
