Civic panel cancels decision to bear medical expenses of ex-corporators

After facing criticism for approving the proposal of the civic body incurring medical expenses of former corporators,elected representatives in the standing committee on Tuesday cancelled the decision.

After facing criticism for approving the proposal of the civic body incurring medical expenses of former corporators,elected representatives in the standing committee on Tuesday cancelled the decision.

The proposal to reconsider the decision was tabled by NCP corporator Balasaheb Bodke saying the decision would hurt public sentiments.

“The proposal to reconsider the decision was accepted by the committee,” said chairman of the standing committee Baburao Chandere.

The committee had unanimously approved the proposal on August 14.
