International School of Business and Media recently held their convocation celebrations at their Nande campus. The event was attended by B K Bhansal,CMD of Morgan Stanley and Anil Wanwari,Founder and CEO of indiantelevision.com,who gave out the prizes to the 397 graduating students. The graduating students included 82 from media studies,289 from business management and 26 from supply chain management courses offered by the institute. Addressing the students,Bhansal said only the youth can change the present scenario. “Fresh ideas that will mould the future can be generated only by students like you,who are enthusiastic and ready to face the world. You are the only ones who can pull the market out of the recession,” he said. Wanwari shared the story of how he started with his online television portal and how it grew big. “You must have a passion to drive the idea from a small opportunity to a large scale,” he said.

ICAI holds First Convocation in the City

A batch of 250 students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India,Pune,who cleared their CA exams in May and November 2012,received their degrees on Sunday in the city. This was the first convocation function held by the institute in the city. Dr W N Gade,Vice-chancellor of University of Pune,was the chief guest at the event,while Dr Sudhakar Jadhwar,Dean of Commerce at the university was the guest of honour. Shubhot Aggarwal,President of ICAI,also attended the convocation. Pune ranks fourth in most producers of chartered accountants in the country. More than 25,000 students had appeared from the state and 6,000 cleared the exam.
