University Womens Association,Pune,celebrated International Womens Day with a bang on Wednesday. The organisation,affiliated to Indian Federation of University Womens Associations,honoured the quintessential woman who has the strongest yet a quiet influence on the world through her courage,strength and the different roles she performs. The event was held at Working Women Hostel hall near Senapati Bapat Road. Among the highlights was a speech by Kriti Thakur,ILS College student,who spoke about the campaign Champions for Change that propagates the importance of womens health and hygiene in India.
