ACB arrests Khed tehsildar for graft

The Anti-corruption bureau (ACB),Pune arrested Tehsildar of Khed block Jagdish Harishchandra Nimbalkar (38) when he was allegedly accepting Rs 50,000 as bribe to rule in favour of a farmer in the case of a land dispute that had come to him for hearing.

The Anti-corruption bureau (ACB),Pune arrested Tehsildar of Khed block Jagdish Harishchandra Nimbalkar (38) when he was allegedly accepting Rs 50,000 as bribe to rule in favour of a farmer in the case of a land dispute that had come to him for hearing.

Nimbalkar was nabbed by a team led by ACP Rajendra Galande of ACB around 7.30 pm at Khed Tehsildar office based on a complaint registered by one Dattatreya Thigale of Rajgurunagar.

Galande said Thigale had a dispute over a piece of land in Rajgurunagar and Nimbalkar had demanded Rs 50,000 to rule in his favour.

Thigale had registered a complaint with the ACB on Wednesday. Nimbalkar had asked him to reach the Tehsildar office on Thursday.

Galande’s team laid a trap and arrested Nimbalkar while accepting the bribe.
