Abducted land agent let off after paying ransom

A 37-year-old real estate agent from Mulshi,Krusha Shelke,was allegedly kidnapped from Paud area in broad daylight and was released after the abductors were paid ransom of Rs 7 lakh.

A 37-year-old real estate agent from Mulshi,Krusha Shelke,was allegedly kidnapped from Paud area in broad daylight and was released after the abductors were paid ransom of Rs 7 lakh. The Paud police have now launched a search for the six kidnappers who abducted Shelke at gunpoint.

As per the complaint registered by Shelke at Paud police station,the incident took place at 10 am on Friday when he was standing at square near Gothavade village near Paud with his two relatives. Six persons came came in an MUV and forced the three to sit in the car at gunpoint.

PSI Sachin Pardeshi,who is probing the case,said,“They took him to a secluded place near Mutha Ghat and started demanding money. The ransom amount was negotiated to Rs 7 lakh after,which Shelke called his family members to arrange for the money. Abductors asked the relatives to keep the money at a spot near Pashan Sus pass. Some of the suspects ensured that the money was kept there sometime in the afternoon. The three were let off and dropped at the spot from where they were picked up.”
