AAP organises workshop for farmers

The AAM Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday organised a workshop to discuss issues related to farm and farmers in Pune. Agriculture experts Budhajirao Mulik, Gajanan Khatu and others along with as many as 100 farmers from various parts of the state attended the workshop.

Issues such as recent drought which raged havoc in the state, nonavailability of quality seeds, diversion of water from drought-prone areas of the state to the water rich Konkan, inadequate schemes for farmers among others were raised during the workshop. Farmers talked about the growing urbanisation which they said was putting their profession and livelihood at risk.

Summing up the day-long conference, Mulik said if AAP is voted to power, it can initiate many schemes for farmers. Senior AAP leaders Mayank Gandhi, Anjali Damania, Subhash Ware were also present.
