15-year-old found hanging, cops suspect suicide

suicide, hanging, girl death, crime, murder, pune police, pune newsA 15-year-old school student was found hanging in his house on Tuesday evening in a suspected case of suicide. Till late Wednesday, police were yet to ascertain the reason why he took the extreme step.

The Shivajinagar police have identified the deceased as Aditya Yuvraj Damse, a resident of Vishnu Krupa Nagar in Shivajinagar. Police said Aditya was found hanging to the ceiling of his house around 5.30 pm on Tuesday. His family members rushed him to hospital, where he was declared dead after attempts by doctors to revive him failed.

Police said Aditya was a Class 9 student of Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya (Boys). His father works at a shop as helper while his mother works as a domestic help.
Police sub-inspector N M Pallampalle, who is probing the case, said no suicide note was found in the house and they were yet to ascertain why Aditya took the extreme step. Statements of family members and others are being recorded.

Anil Umbarje, principal of Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya (Boys), said Aditya was a bright student. “The second semester tests had got over and results were recently distributed by calling parents to school. His reports were quite satisfactory and he was a good student. Even we are in a state of shock and don’t know why he took the step.”
