The two-member AAP inquiry committee probing into alleged charges of accepting bribe against Sucha Singh Chhotepur on Saturday sent him a notice asking him to prove his innocence.
The panel, comprising co-incharge of Punjab affairs Jarnail Singh and head of AAP grievances department Jasbir Singh Bir, also said the disciplinary committee will act against “rebels” who gave an ultimatum to the party for re-instating Chhotepur.
Last week, Chhotepur had refused to appear before the panel stating the members were signatories on the complaint seeking action against him.
The panel members said action has been initiated against Ambrish Trikha, an aide of national organisation building head Durgesh Pathak, who was recorded purportedly demanding money to fix an appointment with Pathak. He was earlier re-called to Delhi.
