Versova siblings’ death: Suburban collector gives nod to exhume body

The Versova police have got permission from the suburban collector for exhuming the body of Rameez Chougle,one of the two siblings who died in mysterious circumstances at their Versova flat in July.

The Versova police have got permission from the suburban collector for exhuming the body of Rameez Chougle,one of the two siblings who died in mysterious circumstances at their Versova flat in July.

The police had written to the Collector’s office seeking permission tlast Friday. Officers said they needed to exhume Rameez’s body to ascertain the cause of his and his sister Rehab’s death. “A team of four doctors in their report said a fresh post mortem was needed,” police said.

Rehab’s post-mortem report had stated that she died of phosphide poisoning. Police are on the lookout for the person who allegedly carried out pest control at the flat.
