Versova siblings’ death: Pune chemical supplier held

Versova police on Friday arrested a Pune-based chemical supplier who supplied ammonium phosphide,used in the pest control treatment at the house in Versova,that led to the death of siblings Rameez (25) and Rehab Chougule (27).

Versova police on Friday arrested a Pune-based chemical supplier who supplied ammonium phosphide,used in the pest control treatment at the house in Versova,that led to the death of siblings Rameez (25) and Rehab Chougule (27). Police said Borivali-based shopkeeper Hitendra Shah,who sold ammonium phosphide to arrested pest-control contractor Rukshana Almekar,had told them that he had bought the chemical from a supplier in Pune. Earlier this month,a police team was sent to Pune to interrogate the chemical supplier.
