The celebrations for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continued a day after its historic victory in Maharashtra. On Saturday, the party’s Mumbai unit got slides thanking voters for the support in 350 theatres. The BJP-Sena combine made a clean sweep in Mumbai.
The party also put up over 150 hoardings and displayed 1000 banners across the city. Keen to keep the voter interested with approaching assembly polls, the party has plans to retain these for another four to five days.
BJP party president Ashish Shelar said that “it was just a way to reach out to voters from the city who supported the party.” Shelar’s pictures were displayed in ads. Shelar has never hidden his plans to contest Vidhan Sabha polls.
