Teen drowns in creek at Kandalvan

The body of a 15-year-old boy was washed ashore in Bandra Saturday morning. According to police,the victim,Mastan Noorul Sayyed,a resident of Shahu Nagar,had drowned on Friday.

Mastan had gone to bathe in a creek in Kandalvan,Shahu Nagar,on Friday morning with his friends,police said. When he started drowning,his friends raised an alarm and the fire brigade,later,tried to fish his body out but in vain.

According to Bandra police,the body was seen at the Bandra creek by residents,who informed the police. They then sent out a message to all police stations in Mumbai,informing them about the dead body and requesting information about any people corresponding to the description of the deceased going missing in their jurisdictions. The Shahu Nagar police responded after a few hours.
