With only two days left for the last date for withdrawal of nominations,the Congress continued to remain fractured with disputes over a handful of wards and allegations. MP Priya Dutt remained upset for being kept in dark over the last-minute changes made in the candidate list. Meanwhile,a new squabble broke out between Youth Congress and MP Sanjay Nirupam regarding a ward in Kandivli. Last-minute decisions are expected on Friday.

MNS plea against rival candidates

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has objected to the returning officer that the Sena-BJP and Congress candidates from ward number 224 have registered themselves as voters in over two adjoining wards. It has asked the commission to inquire into the matter.
