Shifu Sunkriti founder’s bail plea rejected

A SESSIONS court on Wednesday rejected the bail application of Shifu Sunkriti founder, Sunil Kulkarni.
He was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on allegations made by parents of two women, aged 23 and 21, claiming that he had been running a cult group and indulging in obscene acts.

Kulkarni was chargesheeted under Sections 292 (sale of obscene books etc), 419, 420 (sections related to cheating), 465, 467 and 468 (sections related to forgery) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 67 and 67 (A)  of the Information Technology Act. While arguing for bail, Kulkarni had claimed that the two women had not supported their parents’ allegations.
