Robbers kill former stock broker in Borivali,flee with valuables

A 50-year-old former stock broker died after three men attacked him at his Borivali residence on Tuesday.

A 50-year-old former stock broker died after three men attacked him at his Borivali residence on Tuesday. They tied his hands,left him bleeding and fled with cash,jewellery and a metal idol.

Borivali police said Vijay Kantilal Vora was alone at the time of the attack as his wife Pallavi,47,was out shopping at Crawford Market. The couple had shifted to the apartment three months ago.

Police said after repeated calls by Pallavi to Vora’s phone around 8.30 pm went unanswered,she entered the house using a spare key. Vora was bleeding and his hands tied with a nylon rope,said inspector Ravi Adhane.

Vora was taken to Karuna Hospital,where he was declared dead on arrival. “A case of robbery and murder has been registered against unidentified persons. A probe is on,” added Adhane.
