Mumbai police are probing some “suspicious unidentified flying objects” that a Pawan Hans pilot allegedly saw in Juhu last week. According to Santacruz police Captain R S Nandal, in his complaint stated that he witnessed six suspicious objects flying close to the JW Marriott hotel on Juhu beach.

“Shortly after Captain Nandal took off from Juhu Aerodrome, he claims to have spotted six suspicious objects nearly 1500 feet above the ground,” a senior police officer said.

“The unidentified objects were apparently at a distance of two nautical miles from Captain Nandal’s chopper,” the officer added.

“When we asked what he suspects the objects to be or if they could have been para-gliders, he was not sure. As per the Captain, the objects appeared to be semi-circular and were blue and white in colour,” the officer further said. Apart from Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch, the Anti Terrorism Squad has also been roped in to investigate the matter. “We are investigating the matter. So far, we haven’t been able to find the objects. No one else has reported seeing them either,” said Shantanu Pawar, senior police inspector, Santacruz police.
