Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Tuesday issued a notice to singer Adnan Sami after his visa expired on October 6. “We have asked him to respond within seven days. He will have to regularise the period of his overstay by paying a fine,and could be granted a month on humanitarian grounds,” said DCP (Special Branch) Sanjay Shintre. “As per rules,I applied for extension of visa to the Ministry of Home Affairs on September 14,” Sami said.

Bids invited for traffic plan at Kalanagar

To ease congestion at the mouth Bandra-Kurla Complex,the MMRDA has invited bids to implement a traffic improvement plan at Kalanagar junction. As per the tender,the plan is to be implemented in three months at a cost of Rs 67.47 lakh. The last date for bid submission is November 15.

MNS moves no-trust motion in BMC
