Interacting with a group of students who alleged that they were “threatened” for criticising government policies on social media, NCP president Sharad Pawar on Saturday told them that he and his party were always open to criticism.
Pawar told the students not to get intimidated and continue to voice their concerns against the wrong policies and public issues related to at least his own party, the NCP. “I have no problems when anybody criticises me or my party. You can speak your mind and criticise my party and me,” he said. “I believe there is nothing wrong if you tell me where my party is going wrong,” he told the students.
Another NCP leader said, “Pawar has always given audience to every section which comes to him with public issue.”
