TWO WHEELS of a motorman coach of a suburban local derailed near Platform number 5 at 2.33 pm near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on the Central Railway on Sunday. No injuries were sustained by any of the 60 passengers in the train.

“All the senior officials reached the site within five minutes. There were hardly 50-60 passengers in the coach. As the platform was hardly a few metres away, the passengers were quickly shifted back to the platform. The speed was at a minimum because the train was at a crossing point,” said a CR official.

However, commuters were affected on the main line and harbor line of CR as train services remained suspended till the coach was re-railed at 4.15 pm.
