Mumbai: 20-year-old gangraped for 5 days in Palghar, say cops

In her complaint, the victim alleged that she had been held captive since August 6 and sexually assaulted by four men.

A 20-year-old woman was allegedly held captive and gangraped by four persons for five days in Mumbai’s neighbouring Palghar.

The police have lodged a complaint on the basis of the victim’s complaint.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that she had been held captive since August 6 and sexually assaulted by four men.

The Valiv police on Saturday arrested two of the four accused. Incidentally, both the arrested accused are the victim’s neighbours.

“Based on her complaint, we have registered a case of gangrape, wrongful confinement and kidnapping. We are further probing into the matter. The medical reports of the victim are expected by Monday,” said Mahesh Patil, senior police inspector, Valiv police station.
