Mumbai: 12,199 pairs of shoes collected for underprivileged

In an initiative called ‘Stepping Forward’, at least 100 children collected 12,199 pairs of shoes for the city’s underprivileged people.

A shoe-collection drive was conducted by a youth organisation working for the Parsi community on October 2 for those who are unable to afford footwear and roam bare-footed in Mumbai.

In an initiative called ‘Stepping Forward’, at least 100 children who were a part of Xtremely Young Zoroastrians Foundation, aged 5-15 years, accompanied by their parents visited 21 areas in the city and collected 12,199 pairs of shoes for the city’s underprivileged people.
