The Dadar police, probing the molestation case of a 13-year-old girl, with a hearing disability, by the principal and teacher of a school for the deaf and aphasic in Dadar, are scrutinising Closed Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) footage of the school in a bid to get evidence in the case.

Dadar police have arrested principal and director of the school L Reddy (42) and Dattakumar Patil (37) a teacher in this connection. However, both have denied the charges in the FIR.

Police said they are recording statements of school staff and students. “The CCTV footage is being thoroughly inspected since Thursday. It shows the victim’s presence around the principal’s office. We can see a girl resembling the victim, but the picture gets blurred when enlarged. We are checking other footage as well, “ said a police officer.

“The footage may be sent to technical department for clarity. School premises and classrooms have been examined and over a dozen statements recorded. We are trying to corroborate allegations with evidence,”said Nishikant Patil senior police inspector.
