Lad shines for Rizvi college

Riding on Siddesh Lad's 132 Rizvi College defeated Podar College by 37 runs to enter the final of the Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament,organised by Mumbai University at Karnataka Sports Association ground on Wednesday.

Riding on Siddesh Lad’s 132 Rizvi College defeated Podar College by 37 runs to enter the final of the Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament,organised by Mumbai University at Karnataka Sports Association ground on Wednesday.

Batting first,Rizvi made 361 with the help of Lad’s century knock and Swapnil Savli (84) and Vinayak Bhoir’s half centuries. Podar’s Meghav Pednekar was the wrecker-in-chief with four wickets while Jay Cheeda took three.

In reply,Podar were folded out for 324 on the second and peunltimate day. Akhil Rajput top scored with 91. For Rizvi,Shardul Thakur and John Abraham took three wickets each. Siddesh Lad also shined with the ball by scalping two batsmen.
