There are 10 primary points that one might employ to “dance life”,humour expert Lenny Ravich said in a presentation on Tuesday at the Shangri La Hotel,Lower Parel. On the occasion of Israel’s 65th Independence Day reception,Ravich presented an interactive programme, titled “Dance life… Don’t drag it”,that included these 10 tips interspersed with humourous anecdotes.

Author of the best-selling book A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Enlightenment,Ravich is in Mumbai to give lectures and presentations at the Don Bosco Shelter,Wadala, and University of Mumbai, and conduct workshops with a few corporates.

“The first point is,put the red cape to the side,” said Ravich,as he began his presentation. Referring to bull-fighting,he used the metaphor of the cape to say that ego must be excluded from our actions. His phrases included,“smile and be joyful”,“do the opposite” and “live every day as if it’s your last (one day you’ll be right)”.

A member of the audience was called on stage to present a skit with Ravich,in which she was asked to speak Hindi,a language he does not understand, and he would respond in gibberish. The result was a great deal of hilarity which lasted for the most part of his presentation.
