Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in to host Got Talent World Stage Live, a new initiative by Colors channel, Cineyug and TV host Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment. The live show will be held on December 6 at Andheri Sports Complex and will later be telecast on the channel. Twenty Indian and international artistes — apart from Bollywood acts — will showcase their talent in dance, drama, acrobatics and illusion, among others.
Khan, in a black suit at the press conference, spoke about the importance of recognising talent. Recounting his first role, he joked about being cast in the army of monkeys for the famous Ram Leela production in Delhi. “I probably just had two lines in a chorus, but I was performing in front of thousands of people. That gave me immense confidence,” he said. Calling himself a man of average talent, Khan said, “An entertainer is usually bereft of entertainment himself, so I’m very excited to host the evening,” he said.
