Cop reunites girls on fun ride with families

An alert railway police constable rescued on Monday two 11-year-old girls from Konark Express,minutes before the train left CST.

An alert railway police constable rescued on Monday two 11-year-old girls from Konark Express,minutes before the train left CST.

Constable J P Vishwakarma was conducting routine checks when he saw the girls in school uniform in the general compartment of Kornark Express. They failed to answer his questions satisfactorily and instead began crying.

Vishwakarma then took the girls back to CST and reunited them with their families.

RPF sources said the standard V students of Kamrajar Memorial English High School,Dharavi,were classmates. They said the girls went to Sion station with another classmate after school at around 1 pm.

After the third student left them at the station,they came to CST.

Constable Vishwakarma found them on Konark Express at 3.05 pm,10 minutes before the train departs.

The girls said they were having fun exploring the train.
