Campaneroes Sports Club continued their winning streak as they beat Bandra FC 4-1 in a Premier Division match of the 10th Bandra West Football League.

Campaneroes Sports Club continued their winning streak as they beat Bandra FC 4-1 in a Premier Division match of the 10th Bandra West Football League,organised by the Bandra West Football Association and played at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao Municipal Ground. Daniel D’Souza scored a brace while Jayesh Kamble and Allan D’Souza scored the other two for Campaneroes. Toheed Khan scored the consolation for Bandra FC.

Air India Colony enter main draw

Air India Colony topped their pool to advance to the main draw of Kalina Football League after beating Kalina Village Boys ‘B’ 5-0 in their Pool-A qualifying match round,at the St. Mary’s High School ground.

In other matches in the tournament organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee,Kalina Trashers beat FHSC 2-0 to finish at the top of Pool-B,and Talaikerz trounced FHSC 4-1 in the play-off match,and in turn qualified for the main stage. The three victors now join New Air India Colony,Village Boys ‘A’,Kalina Rangers,Kalina United,Rovers,Egyptian Boys and Nester Compound in the tournament’s final draw.

MSL from August 19

The BSAM World Zoroastrian Organisation Trust Mumbai Snooker League 2013 will begin on 19th August,2013. The tournament features 60 clubs from around the city that will compete in 12 groups of five. The winner and runner-up of each group will move into the knockout stage. Out of the 24 teams,the top eight,in terms of total points accumulated in the group stage will earn a direct entry in the quarterfinals,while the remaining will compete in the round of 16.

The final is to be held on 6th October,2013 at the Dadar Parsee Colony Gymkhana. CCI ‘Snooker Kings’ will defend their title,while last year’s runners-up JVPG ‘Tiger,’ semi-finalists MCF ‘Dark Knights’ and Khar Gymkhana ‘Jaws,’ and 2011 winners P.J Hindu Gymkhana ‘Hustlers’ are some of the teams that will feature in the tournament.

Triumph for MGMO Women

MGMO WOMEN and PM Bath Men emerged victorious in the Senior GMAAA Waterpolo Tournament,hosted by PM Bath. While the PM Bath ladies were trounced by an 8-6 margin,their men counterparts made up for it by recording a narrow 6-5 win over Police Pool with Ruchit Parekh leading the way with three goals. Sayali Gudhekar did the star turn for MGMO,scoring four goals.

Worli Sports Club defeated Anish Travels in a third division match of the MDFA League ,at the St. Xavier’s ground in Parel. Raghawan N and Sanket Gadwe scored for the Worli team. In other matches,Eleven Star SC overcame Friends United with a single goal and Ruffians FC ‘B’ drew with Narayan Youngsters in a goalless draw.
