BMCC student killed, 4 hurt as car overturns in Pune

After the party, they were going towards Katraj Bypass, when the car driver is believed to have lost control over the vehicle.

A Student of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) who had gone with a friend for a birthday party at Balewadi, was killed when the car in which they were travelling overturned on Katraj Bypass Road around midnight Friday.

Police identified the deceased as Siddhant Rahul Haribhakta (19), a resident of Sundar Nagar, Katraj Kondhwa Road. His friends Akshay Dilip Komatvar (20) of Manikbag, Sinhagad Road, Gitesh Shekhar Malji (18) of Sadashiv Peth, Aditya Milind Baviskar (21) and Mandar Kiran Shah (18), both residents of Kothrud were injured, police said.

Bharati Vidyapeeth police are investigating the case. Senior police inspector Machindra Chavan said all five youths were students of BBA at Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) in Pune.
