Aurangabad man held for pushing minor cousin into prostitution

Aurangabad resident Rajkumar Nagpure (24) has been arrested by Vashi police for allegedly pushing his minor cousin into flesh trade.Nagpure,who had been absconding since April,was arrested Monday after police received a tip-off that he was coming to Vashi.

Aurangabad resident Rajkumar Nagpure (24) has been arrested by Vashi police for allegedly pushing his minor cousin into flesh trade.Nagpure,who had been absconding since April,was arrested Monday after police received a tip-off that he was coming to Vashi. Police said Nagpure sold his sister to pimp Munna for Rs 20,000. The girl was allegedly raped by two men at a lodge in Aurangabad before Munna brought her to Mumbai to sell to a gang of three involved in flesh trade. “We received a tip-off that the minor would be sold near Keral Bhavan in Vashi on April 30 and sent a team. Munna was arrested but the three buyers escaped,” said a Vashi police officer. Anil Dhotre (24),Raju Sawant (33) and Santosh Landge (30) were arrested three days later at Nevasa in Navi Mumbai. The four told police during interrogation that Rajkumar sold the girl. “Monday,informants told us Rajkumar was coming to Vashi to meet someone and we laid a trap,” the officer said.

Trio decamp with jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh in Borivali

Three armed men barged into a jewellery shop in Borivali Thursday and decamped with gold worth Rs 2.5 lakh,police said. The owner of Raj Jewellers,Kiran Borana,40,was alone in his shop when the incident took place.The trio attacked Borana with choppers,after which he fell unconscious. when they fled with jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh. A case of robbery has been registered against them.
