2 booked for ‘raping’ 58-yr-old woman

The Government Railway Police (GRP),Bandra,registered a case of rape against two unidentified men after a 58-year-old woman lodged a complaint about an incident that allegedly took place on October 2 outside Santacruz railway station. The case,which was initially registered at Dindoshi police station,Goregaon,was transferred to GRP Bandra on October 3.

“We are checking CCTV footage on local trains from Mahim to Santacruz,” said an officer. “The victim does not know her attackers,” he added.

As per the complaint,on October 2,the victim had gone to a church in Mahim and around 10.30 pm,took a slow local train from Mahim station to Goregaon.

At Santacruz station,two men in the same compartment allegedly pushed her out and took her outside the station premises. The victim alleged she was made to consume alcohol, assaulted and raped by the duo.
