In the city to hold a meeting with industrialists protesting against the latest e-trip policy of the state government,Industries and Commerce Minister Anil Joshi on Monday said the government would soon solve all the problems of the industrialists and traders on e-trip.

He announced that a meeting of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and traders would be called in Chandigarh to discuss all the issues related to e-trip.

“I request all traders to openly speak in front of Badalji to eliminate all the confusion,” he said while addressing traders at Hotel Maharaja Regency here.

Joshi expressed his concern over the Congress taking advantage of the issue. He asked traders to support the SAD-BJP government in this move as it was for their benefit only. “We are getting e-trip because it will increase transparency in the system. The opposition is trying to take advantage of the situation but I assure all traders that e-trip will never become harassment for them,” he added.

Through e-trip,traders need to register the movement of goods on the excise department’s website after which an acknowledgement slip would be generated.

Meanwhile,K D Bhandari, chief parliamentary secretary,BJP,too sang praises of the state government for ensuring welfare of traders.
