Snag in electricity supply delays 8 trains for four hours

Passengers harried as an electric snag led to eight trains on Amritsar-New Delhi route getting delayed for around four hours.

Passengers were a harried lot at the Ludhiana railway station on Thursday morning as an electric snag led to eight trains on Amritsar-New Delhi route getting delayed for around four hours.

The affected trains were Amritsar-New Delhi Shatabdi,Amritsar-Kolkata Express,Amritsar-Chandigarh Express,Jammu Durg Express,Amarpali Express,Amritsar-Saharsa Jan Seva Express,Amritsar-Mumbai Express and Sachkhand Express.

Station superintendent Ravinder Sharma said,“A wire broke at Phillaur station due to which trains were delayed but the situation became normal in two hours.”
