RSS leader’s murder: Mastermind behind killings sitting in Canada, will be exposed soon, says Ravneet Singh Bittu
Speaking to The Indian Express on Wednesday, Bittu claimed, “The central agencies including CBI, intelligence agencies and Punjab Police are very close to solving this entire conspiracy
Congress MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu claimed that the mastermind of recent killings in Punjab is sitting in Canada and is a pro-Khalistani. He also claimed that it is a matter of a few days that the entire conspiracy will be exposed by the central agencies and Punjab Police.
The murder of RSS leader Ravinder Gosain comes after a series of such killings in Punjab in the past two years including that of Namdhari sect matriarch Chand Kaur at Bhaini Sahib, senior RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja in Jalandhar, Hindu Takht leader Amit Sharma in Ludhiana, Shiv Sena worker Durg Prasad Gupta in Khanna, two followers of Dera Sacha Sauda and a church pastor Sultan Masih at Ludhiana.
Speaking to The Indian Express on Wednesday, Bittu claimed, “The central agencies including CBI, intelligence agencies and Punjab Police are very close to solving this entire conspiracy. The mastermind is sitting in Canada as per my sources. He is funding the pro-Khalistan youths in Punjab to execute these killings. He hires them on the basis of the social media interest shown in pro-Khalistan pages on Facebook and other social media sites.
The motive is to eliminate anti-Khalistan voices, create communal tension and revive terrorism in Punjab. But since people of Punjab has already been through this phase, their actions are not bearing fruit and people are not falling in their trap.” Bittu claimed that ‘within days’ the name of the mastermind will also be revealed. “I have assured the family of deceased RSS leader today that soon the killers will be caught. It is because we are very near to solving these killings. I can understand their pain because my own grandfather (former Punjab CM Beant Singh) was a victim of terrorism,” Bittu said.
He added that ‘since there is unemployment, it is very easy to sway the minds of youths’ who are attracted towards pro-Khalistan ideology. “All killings have been executed by youths who are trapped in for money. Seeing their interest on pro-Khalistan videos and posts on Facebook pages, they are contacted by Canada-based mastermind and trapped. They are paid Rs 5 lakh to 10 lakh for each killing,” Bittu added.
