Deputy Commissioner – Rajat Aggarwal
The song Bach ke rehna re baba…is apt for DC Rajat Aggarwal, who has earned the label of a strict administrator from his subordinates. Aggarwal keeps a hawks eye on all the work shirkers and forced all late comers to be on time. Though he took charge in the last quarter of 2013,in Ludhiana,he earned the support of senior citizens, especially for his project which spoke about their rights. It sent out a strong message to those who do not take good care of their parents.
MC Commissioner – Rahul Tewari
Idhar chala main udhar chala, jaane kahaan main kidhar chala… must be how Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rahul Tewari felt, before he was finally appointed to his present post. Therefore, apart from maintaining law and order,he believes that managing the traffic properly will solve more than 50 per cent of the problems in the city.
CA GLADA – R K Verma
Senior IAS officer R K Verma, who is now Chief Administrator of Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA),can be called an IT buff. Manish Tewari is the first Ludhiana MP who has got a Union Minister rank. Tewari and his supporters can be often seen propagating this among the masses during public functions, and perhaps this is the USP of the minister. PWD Minister – Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon
Throughout the year Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon was in the news for one or the other reason. He prefers to drive the JCB machine himself on a demolition drive and he also got the maximum panchayats from his constituency elected unanimously. Dhillon was in thenews for his differences with the BJP as well.
Though Bains brothers Atam Nagar MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains and Ludhiana South MLA Balwinder Bains (left) are back in the folds of the Shiromani Akali Dal Punjab (SAD),they can hardly be seen at SAD functions. Voters of their constituencies say they are SAD MLAs for name sake only,

However, the latest nomination for him for a post in PPCC has only proved that he is well placed despite his differences with local leaders.
Ludhiana West MLA – Ranjit Singh Dhillon
The song Yahan ke hum Sikander… is quite apt for SAD MLA Ranjit Singh Dhillon, who made record controversies in 2013. With four major rifts over stone laying and inauguration of projects in ward number 8 with area councillor Daljit Singh Grewal,Dhillon needs to give a serious thought to adopting Gandhigiri and maintaining peace.
Khanna MLA – Gurkeerat Kotli
MLA Gurkeerat Kotli kept playing hide and seek with the voters of his constituency throughout the year.
